Dealer of Death Guild Charter
Date of Draft: 28 September 2004 (To be voted on)
DOD Website- http://dod.moonfruit.com
1. We are an Imperial and Neutral Guild that is a helper group with a strong emphasis on Roleplaying and PvE along with learning the basics of PvP and are actively recruiting those that are willing to join and meet new friends. While at this time not a large guild we have allies who are willing to help our cause.
2. Standards for being admitted into the Guild are as followed: We require a one week minimal trial period for new recruits. During this time the person is gave the chance to meet many of the Guild Members and allows both Guild Members and the Recruit to get to know the person. After the week trial period if the recruit still wishes to enter the guild and no member raises doubts the person is automatically accepted into the guild by either there sponsor or the Guild Leader.
2a. Exceptions to the admissions policy DO exist. Any and all former Dealers of Death or Red Star Alliance members or IRL Family members who wish admittance into DoD are automatically accepted. Any other case is based on a case by case issue and must be authorized by either the Guild Leader or the second in command.
3. Guild Rankings: The ranks described here explain the powers of each position within the Guild.
GUILD LEADER: Leader of the Guild has full authority to add/remove members from roster, email and has overall supervision of Guild workings. This is the only position capable of banning members from the Guild. The Guild Leadership cannot change (in part due to a SOE Bug) The only time a leader shall change is if the current leader decides to step down. Upon stepping down the Guild Leader announces the change of command and then within 1 week time from the announcement the Guild is then disbanded. The new leader upon accepting the duties of Guild Leader must also take on responsibilities of accepting the Guild Hall on there lots and places the hall.
FOUNDER: These members are those that were former DoD or former RSA members who joined DoD upon the reformation up to the point of DoDs first official meeting. These members have the ability to sponsor and add guild members along with email capability. In a time where a guild member has a question and the Guild Leader is not available they are asked to seek out a Founder.
NEW MEMBERS: Upon entering DoD New members are gave sponsor abilities and abilities to email guild.
4. BANNABLE OFFENSES:
a) While unfortunate at times this is necessary friendship is the key to DoD And while arguments and debates may happen within guild sometimes they will even become heated it is asked you be respectful of your fellow guild members. Slandering of another guild member is not acceptable.
b) Attacking Jedi within Guild for a Bounty Hunter mission. Bounty Hunters while not restricted within guild are forbidden to hunt one of there own guildmates or any Jedi that we are allied with. This is a concession to be made due to how much Jedi already are greifed in game and I will not support openly a means to grief fellow players who we as a guild are allied with and call friends. This policy currently applies to the guilds of DoD and BABE any other guild will be added as DoD extends its hands to other guilds seeking alliances. As it stands we have not decided on hunting of our own faction and until the guild decides on this BHs are not restricted from hunting there own faction of Jedi.
5. GUILD ORGANIZED EVENTS
Every so often events will be organized within guild that will invite other guilds to participate in be it PvP Competitions, Races or whatever event someone thinks of. These special events will charge an entry fee for people to enter the event and out of the admission fees a percentage of that amount will be put aside for prize money along with expenses incurred organizeing the event. After all expenses are figured any remaining credits will be divided equally amoungst all guild members.
6. RECOMMENDED VENDORS/ PEOPLE
This list will be updated periodically as more people are recommended. Those people who are recommended offer products and or services that are of outstanding quality along with prices or are recommended solely on there knowledge of the game.
DOCTORS: Razzo, Zotoh,
WEAPONSMITH: Ester
ARMORSMITH: Cantor (Only does Special Orders)
SPICES/SMUGGLER: Jaecob
FOODS:
MEDICAL SUPPLIES
CLOTHING Corinna
ARCHITECH:
7. HOUSEING
To be in DoD you are not restricted on where you have to live. You are open to the option of living within the city of Babelon. There is a tax in place (property and income) at the moment. This tax is in place to provide funds for running the city and DoD does have a small presence within Babelon and the former leadership prior to the guild reforming helped cofounded the city. So DoD has a tradition with this player city and we have a voice within the city.
In the case you become a citizen and have an issue it is recommended you either contact the mayor or DoDs guild leader. If you as a member raise your issue with the guild leader they will within 24 hours try and contact Babelons mayor and voice the issue and try and resolve the problem.
8. CHATS (STAYING IN CONTACT WITH GUILD)
There are multiple means to stay in contact with guild be it tells, Guild Chat or Zero Chat. Tells being the most effective way to reach others the secondary means should be Guild Chat or Zero. If you have not recived an email stateing how to join zero chat contact the guild leader please.
9. NEW PLAYER PERKS
New Guild members along with old who run into a financial crunch can contact guild leadership for a credit advance that will be viewed as an intrest free and pay back when you can type loan. This amount will be no more than 100,000 credits at a time. No pressure will be placed on the person to pay back and other means will be offered to gain more credits (See # 5). IF a loan is made and a player event is held the player instead of opting for payment from the event can decide on giving his/her credits back to the loaner and have that amount deducted from the principle of your loan.
